Replacing a Standard Key
In this video guide, you’ll learn how to replace a type K38 keyboard key. This hinge can be found on the Logitech Wireless K750 Solar keyboard.
If you’ve purchased a key kit from us, you’ll start with the key, a rubber spring, and a hinge.
First, hook the top of the inside hinge piece to the plastic pieces on the top of the keyboard space. Then push down on the bottom until it snaps on.
Set the rubber spring in the center if yours is missing. Then set the key where it goes and push down to snap it on.
The colors in the video may differ for your model, or the hinge may be rotated from what you see in this video. That’s fine, what matters most is the shape of the hinge piece.
Replacing a function key
This first picture is just to show the correct orientation of the hinge. The inner piece of the hinge attaches to the white brackets on the left side of the key’s space, and the outer piece snaps into the brackets on the right.
After you have the hinge oriented, open it and hook the inner hinge piece over the white brackets on the left side of the space.
Use your fingers or a tool to push down on the right side of the hinge until it snaps into the brackets on the right side of the space. If your rubber spring is missing set the new one in the center. Then set the key in place and push down until it snaps on.
