Replace a Type K36 Keyboard Key

In this video guide, you’ll learn how to replace a type K36 keyboard key. This hinge can be found on the Microsoft Wedge, HP G72, HP Pavilion DV6-3000, HP Pavilion G7-1000, as well as other models.

If you’ve purchased a key kit from us, you’ll start with a key, a rubber spring, and a hinge. You’re going to hook the bottom of the hinge onto the two metal loops at the bottom of the space. Then push down on the top of the hinge until it snaps on. Set the rubber spring in the center, and then put the key in its space. Push down to snap it on.

The colors in the video may differ for your model, or the hinge may be rotated from what you see in this video. That’s fine, what matters most is the shape of the hinge piece.

I need two hinges and the “}” key and the “2” key for a Logitech canvas iPad Air keyboard. They are a dark grey color. Do you have these in stock? Also what is the cost and can you ship to Edmonton Canada?
