Replace a type K32 Keyboard Key Hinge

In this guide, you’ll see how to replace a type K32 keyboard key. This hinge type is used in the Apple MacBook 13.3″. The colors in the video may differ for your model, or the hinge may be rotated from what you see in this video. That’s fine, what matters most is the shape of the hinge piece.

If you ordered a key kit from us, you’ll start with the key, the hinge, and a rubber spring. First, you’re going to open up the hinge and hook the wide space on the hinge over the metal bar right on the keyboard. Then take some pliers, or some other tool, and push the top corners of the hinge until they snap on. Set the rubber spring in the middle. Put the key in place and push down until it snaps on. And then you’re done!
